🪵COLLECTING RESOURCES
Forage, Farm, and Fish in Paradise Tycoon
In Paradise Tycoon, collecting resources is a crucial aspect of gameplay. Resource acquisition can be divided into four categories: foraging, farming, natural resources, and fishing. Players can also trade resources with NPCs or other players and earn resources as rewards.
Foraging: Explore and Discover
Foraging involves exploring your own or adjacent land, as well as outworld locations, on a daily basis to find valuable resources such as food, stones, sticks, or even rare alien metal at the bottom of the sea. Foraging may sometimes require specific tools or production areas, and new resources appear daily.
Farming: Sow, Grow, and Harvest
Farming requires a specific land area and consists of three stages: planting seeds, crop growth, and harvesting. Players need to acquire specific seeds to plant crops like wheat, corn, or tomatoes. Free seeds are available from Port Ohana, but daily limits apply. Seeds can also be purchased from vendors, received from NFT crew members, or traded.
Once seeds are planted, players wait for crops to grow, then harvest them using the appropriate tools, which can be crafted or purchased. Harvested crops can be stored, exchanged for other resources, or used to produce consumables in production buildings. Players can then replant seeds and repeat the cycle, or assign an NFT crew member to take over the task.
Natural Resources: Infinite Supply, Slow Gathering
Gathering natural resources is similar to farming but without the need for planting or waiting for growth. The supply of resources like minerals, wood, and sand is infinite, but the collection process is slow. Crew members can be assigned to collect natural resources, which requires specific tools like pickaxes or axes. Rare items may occasionally be found while gathering natural resources.
Fishing: A Relaxing Minigame
The crystal clear waters of Paradise Tycoon offer an ideal environment for fishing. Players simply need a fishing rod, which can be crafted, purchased from a vendor, or bought from the Auction Hall. Then, they can find a great spot on the beach or sail to the sea to cast their lines.
Fishing is a minigame that requires patience and timing. The bigger the fish, the more careful players need to be when reeling it in. The quality of the fishing rod affects the player's chances of catching the fish, so having a better rod can give them an edge. However, luck still plays a role in the catch of the day.
